To ensure you have a safe and enjoyable experience with our eco-friendly candles, please follow these essential care and warning guidelines:

Burning Instructions

  • Wick Trimming: Trim the carbon buildup off your wicks before each new burn, as needed. For our handcrafted candles with wood wicks, remove any charred wood before relighting to maintain an optimal burn and fragrance throw.
  • First Burn: Allow the candle to burn for a full 4 hours during the very first burn. The melt pool of the candle may not reach all edges of the jar until the second or third burn, but this first, long burn helps prevent tunneling.
  • Burn Time: Never burn a candle for more than 4 hours at a time.

Safety Warnings

  • Placement: Always burn candles within sight and away from drafts, pets, and children.
  • Surface: Keep candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Never touch or move a burning candle.
  • Discontinue Use: Discontinue use when 1/2​ inch of wax remains to prevent the vessel from overheating.
